As for the use of these rubber boots and waders... :

We would not encourage anybody to imitate Pierre, in U S A, who takes pleasure in tearing his supple Aigle boots. He loves to throw them on the road and watch the trucks roll over them and squash them...! However he also likes to wear his boots –a curious paradox...

Christian, in the Perche, as Laurent, who is now a sewerman (19) in Paris aera, have chosen their job because they can wear their rubber boots when working. Certain guys, like Ralf, Heinz or Paul like and wear only them really dirty and muddy. (20)

Vladimir, in St Petersburg, wears them only when completely dressed in NBC gear, or Miklos, in Budapest, regularly wades about in them in the mud of a clay quarry in his country… He needs to feel the thickness of the mud submerge his boots to the point where he has difficulty getting them out...

Fabrice (21) or Gregory (22) wear them with their blue overalls ;
Didier in his field, in Charente, is always wearing his Silverking boots (23).

Others affirm their virility with boots or waders with toecaps —Alan has some beautiful ones, with red or green toecaps that you would love to steal from him but he would never let them go. He now wears rubber boots 7/7 days and, as Pascal, no longer possesses any other type of footwear ! He likes also very much to wear them on his motorbike (24) !
Andrew has succeeded in obtaining some Greek waders which are completely unlined and reach up very high. Tomo, in Japan, tours around addresses from the entire world, so as to find waders to suit him that go up to his crotch and rub against it…

Jacques, another Japanese fan, proudly parades in his black rubber waders, lined inside with… flesh coloured rubber ! The suppleness of them is remarkable, as is the comfort. But they do not come up very high : the Japanese are not very tall !
Some are also fans of American Firemen hip boots ; so is Urpo, in Brusells (25)...

One cannot finish without recalling all the cases and tastes concerning rubber boots (26) without talking of the collectors : Pol in Belgium (27), Carsten, Andreas or Richard, in Germany, Allemagne, posing in front of their collections. Michael, in Berlin, is wellknown under his nickname Gummick (28). Celso in Portugal has hung up his over one hundred pairs… from the ceiling of his painter’s studio (29) !

Chris, near Bonn, in Germany, is always wearing his black Nora boots, even in his job, and has created his own rubber and PVC boots museum. (30).

Finally, certain guys have consecrated to rubber boots an entire room or even the whole of their apartment : Christian in Holland and Patrick near Antwerp. Dieter (31), in Germany, apart from his website, has created a real professional and leisure world dedicated to rubber boots.

And, of course, Pascal, the founder of AMBC in the Paris area (32)... It is not possible any more for him to count the exact number of his rubber boots and waders (certainly more than 1,000 pairs !) from which the "House of the Rubber Boot" (AMBC) will be created (33)

So this is how a large number of "BOOTMEN" proceed, proud to parade in their rubber boots and waders everywhere.
