Rubber boots : a way of life !

First a few words about me. My name is Pascal. I was born on 4th June 1961. I'm 1.80 m tall and weigh 88 kg. My boots size is 43 (9 UK, 9.5 US). My hair is brown.

Wellies lover
I am a rubber boots true lover : my oldest memories are from the village of Picardy where I lived. I was 5 years old : I secretly wore my father's rubber boots which were too big for me, and I filled them with water ! Also I pretended to go through stinging nettles in the path nearby, so I asked for my father's rubber boots which reached up to my knees...

Then, my feet grew and I did not wear any wellies of my own ; and besides, we left the country to go and live in a city (Troyes, in Champagne). I missed rubber boots a lot then, and even almost stole one pair in Troyes.
When I was a teenager, I loved my green rubber boots, which my parents had finally bought for me, when we all went on holiday to Brittany. I was 15.
Later on, when I was a French Literature student (17-22 years old), at Reims University, I already always wore my rubber boots there, and my fellow students and my professors became quite accustomed to them.

And now I wear them 7 days a week, anywhere, everywhere, even at work…

I have more than 1500 pairs of rubber boots (including more than 300 waders and chest waders). They are all different shapes, sizes and colours (mostly black, but I also like green or brown ones). During the summer, I prefer unlined rubber boots which I wear with bare feet. I don't really like sailing boots (blue or yellow ones) and I dislike riding boots ! Also, I don't like leather boots, but I do like P.V.C. ones and also coloured or pattern rubber boots.

Wellies collector

With my gumboots, I love to show off my dungarees, dirty blue overalls, jeans, leather trousers or smart rubber clothes as for example when I go to theatre or opera, in Paris. In summer, I still wear my rubber boots, even, for example, when I swim naked, in the Seine river.
I like piercing very much : I have had a Prince Albert since February 1995 and, since June 1997, a ring in my right eyebrow.
I don't belong to the « gay ghetto », and I travel rather a lot throughout European countries : in London, Antwerpen, Eindhoven, Münich, Amsterdam, Köln, Liège and Paris, where I love to meet other rubber boots fans. But I really prefer the places where we can find real guys wearing rubber boots : fishing harbours, marshes, oysters areas, building sites

IT'S EASY FOR ME AS SINCE 1992,
I DON'T HAVE (OR WEAR) ANY OTHER KIND OF SHOES OR BOOTS
EXCEPT FOR RUBBER BOOTS...

Troyes & Pictures…

I devote a lot of time to my job: I am Upper Graduated in French Literature and in my school I always wear my trousers tucked into my rubber boots.

I am also very enthusiastic about the old city of Troyes, capital of the Champagne, where I come from, and for which I organize visits, duly rubber booted, of course... I have written many articles about Troyes. I have also written many essays about French literature, contributed to a school text book, and I have also written short stories and poems).

I also love photos ; it's quite an obsession with me ; I take thousands of them of men wearing rubber boots. I also have a very good collection of original pictures which I show in my «House of the Rubber Boot» (Museum).

A.M.B.C. & the House of the Rubber Boot

I can travel and also accomodate friends very easily. But with only one irrevocable condition : we must both always openly wear rubber boots. It's my prerequisite for anybody to visit my « rubber boots collection »; you have to deserve it ! I am not at all intolerant, but what gives sense to my life are men wearing rubber boots for their pleasure. Otherwise, it's useless : I have a full social life and I always need more time ! So, if now you totally understand me, don't hesitate ! I have built up a real rubber booted world and I would very much like to accomodate my rubber & rubber booted friends with whom I share the same interests...

That's the reason why, I have opened in 2005, in Seine & Marne, a « House of the Rubber Boot-Museum » ! There, I am happy to welcome all men in rubber boots to share some pleasant time. There, you can refer to all documents and books about rubber boots and rubber, and also the thousands and thousands of pictures of men wearing rubber boots. There you can also visit my collection of boots and all the items and adverts about rubber boots ! There are also many drawings, paintures and even a fresco about rubber boots. (Of course, there you can buy some rubber boots, DVDs, books, booklets or postcards etc). That's the reason why I have also created in 2000, A.M.B.C. (Amis de la Maison de la Botte en Caoutchouc) an official association which promotes the House of the Rubber Boot, to help real rubber booted men to meet and have contacts... To end it, since November 2003, I have opened this free AMBC website and its restricted area only for members. That's it...
