Sean-Paul, Irish AMBC member, gave us these few photos taken during the last "Welly race" in Castlecomer, co Kilkenny, on January 01st, 2007. This funny competition, created 25 years ago, at the beginning to let people recover from the big meals of the end of the year , is still vivid. The only condition to participate to this "Welly Race" is, obviously, to wear... rubber or PVC wellies. Some spectators, to support the wellimen, sometimes also wear their own "wellies"...
